THE HEALING BOW HIKES

Tarn Hows & Black Crag - The Asiatic Way

Saturday 7 November 2026

10:00am start | Ages: All

£15 Adult

12 years and under free

Join us for the next  Healing Bow Hike as we head into the Lake District for a guided walk through the beautiful landscape of Tarn Hows and Black Crag.

The Healing Bow is not simply about shooting arrows and technique.

Within our school, the bow is symbolic of a way of living - a way of reconnecting with nature, stepping away from excess and becoming more in tune with the natural rhythms of the world around us.

Our hikes are an extension of this.

A chance to walk, breathe, explore and experience the landscape together.

TARN HOWS & BLACK CRAG

Our route begins at the beautiful Tarn Hows before making our way through woodland and open fell towards Black Crag, where we will take in the panoramic views across the surrounding Lake District landscape.

The route is approximately 4–5 miles (6–8 km) and will take around 3 - 4 hours, allowing time to walk at a comfortable group pace, pause and take in the surroundings.

This is a moderate walk with some uneven terrain and steeper sections.

The route may be adjusted according to weather and ground conditions. If conditions are particularly wet, an alternative route may be used to avoid excessively boggy or unsafe ground.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

This hike is for anyone who wants to spend time outdoors, explore the landscape and experience more of The Healing Bow - The Asiatic Way.

You don’t need to be an archer or an experienced fell walker.

You should, however, have a reasonable level of fitness and be comfortable walking for around three hours over uneven and sometimes steep ground.

Ages: All

Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult.
